Long route: Leaving at 6:30am - From the parking area almost opposite Ballyhack Road in Port Crane, turn right onto Rt. 369 and pick up Route 7B/Route 7 as far as Nineveh.

Cross the bridge and turn left on E. Windsor Road. Follow that along the river; it will become Route 41 at a stop sign. Take 41 to Afton and instead of bearing left when 41 turns, just go straight on E. Main St. Remember the river will always be on your left until you cross it going into Bainbridge. E. Main St. becomes Route 39 and goes on to Bainbridge. When you get to the traffic circle, cross the river and turn right onto Route 7 and follow that to General Clinton Park.

Short route: Leaving at 7:30am - Park at Harpursville High School, which is off Main Street. Leave the school, turn right and take Main Street to Route 7, turn right and go to Nineveh. Pick up directions at “Cross the bridge” from the route above.

Mileage and terrain: About 55 miles for the long route from Port Crane, 28 for the short route from Harpursville. Except for Belden Hill on the long route, this is a relatively flat ride with a few rollers between Port Crane and Nineveh. The 5K is optional

Way to . . . → Read More: Bob Matson is Champion Again!!]]> BCTC member Bob Matson competed in the Double Oak Duathlon near Birmingham, AL last weekend. He conquered the rolling hills on the course and won the 65-69 age group in the Sprint distance (5k/20k/2.5k) category. That qualifies him for the Age Group Worlds in Ottawa, Canada as part of Team USA this August.
